The 2026 BCSWomen Lovelace Colloquium will be on April 9th-10th at the University of Bath.
Our Call for Abstracts will open in the Autumn, but we’ve left last year’s up for information.
We are generously supported by sponsorship and by University support. You can find out more about our supporters on the University Supporters page.
Venues
Venue information will be added here in due course.
Taking part
The event is open to all, although you have to register. The poster contests are open to women and non-binary students studying computing (BSc, BA, BEng, MSc, MComp or MEng) in the UK. In 2026 we hope to have about 180-200 posters. For student presenters the event is free and for poster presenters we try to manage accommodation and also cover travel costs.
We will have a limited number of tickets for non-student attendees, and you will be able to sign up online nearer to the day.
Programme
On 9th April, the event will start at about 14:00 with a keynote and finish around 18:00. There will be a social in the evening for networking. On the 10th, we’ll start again at 0830 with coffee and then the day will run until about 15:00. We’ll have a poster session on day one for half of the students (e.g., first years and MScs), and another poster session on day two for the other half (e.g., 2nd years and final years).
