Taking part

The event is open to all, although you have to register. The poster contests are open to women and non-binary students studying computing (BSc, BA, BEng, MSc, MComp or MEng) in the UK. In 2026 we are delighted to have accepted 208 poster presenters. For student presenters the event is free and we try to manage accommodation and also cover travel costs via travel bursaries and support from host Universities.

We will have a limited number of tickets for students who don’t present posters, and also for non-student attendees – these will go on sale nearer to the day (after we allocate places to the poster contest finalists). These were available online from https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bcswomen-lovelace-colloquium-2026-tickets-1984126814714 but sales have now closed.
